Bert Scheider Passes At Age 78

Television and movie producer Bert Schneider died Monday, December 12th of natural causes at age 78.

Schneider along with Bob Rafelson were responsible for creating the Monkees and bringing them to the NBC network. Personally selecting each member of the group themselves.

Schneider and Rafelson would later go on to produce legendary Hollywood movies such as Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, and The Last Picture Show.
